Nancy Lee
Studio 7My name is Nancy Lee, I live in central New Jersey with my husband of nearly 50 years, who was an auto upholsterer for decades until retiring. He has been my mentor and has taught me the skills of working with leather and specialty materials. We are proud parents of two adult sons and even more ecstatic over our three grandchildren! A retired educator, I still teach sewing classes at my local quilt shop.
StitchLee was born quite by accident, while on vacation over 25 years ago, a traveler noticed my bag and matching overnighter and asked how to purchase a set for herself. I would have gladly made her a set when vacation time was over, but she wanted the one I was carrying – so she went off with my set and I resumed vacation with plastic bags and a new business.
Since that time, StitchLee has branched out into purses, backpacks, accessories and custom embroidery.
With literally hundreds of my items out there, it’s still a thrill when a customer returns!
