Melissa Velez – Jewelry

Hi, I’m Melissa with Melissa Jacklyn & Co.  My jewelry making and metal smithing journey began in high school at Allen with Mr B.  However, for many years I focused on other forms of art such as photography and watercolor. In 2024, thanks to my son, I started taking classes at Baum and rekindled my love for metal smithing. Soon after, I set up a home  studio and opened Melissa Jacklyn & Co.  I work mostly in sterling silver with some copper, brass and bronze mixed in.  I would describe my work as simple and a little dainty, with the occasional statement piece.
