Functional and decorative wood turnings

I started turning in 2010 after a class at NCCC. My background in forestry gave me an appreciation for growing and harvesting timber, but not the finer aesthetics of grain patterns. This came with turning. I like to make functional yet decorative pieces. I enjoy turning and the discovery of what one finds in the grain of the woods we turn. The discovery of multi axis turning and off set turning yields many unusual shapes. My shop, “Broken Branch Creation” derives its name from the fact that I try to use as much wood as possible from storm damaged trees, those removed for power line maintenance, and other sources. I do use exotics in some of my ornaments. My web page is www.brokenbranchcreation.com
